Derosa to the cards.

This may be old news, but since I've been in Chicago all weekend and just found out saturday night (while I was talking to Jim Thome @ the intersection of 35th and Union)

I feel the need to discuss it now:

DEROSA TRADED TO THE CARDINALS

For Perez and a player to be named later.
To me, it's proof again.. that the Indian's suck:
They gave up THREE pitchers for not even 1/2 a season of Derosa
Now they give him up for a guy that can barely find work in an AWFUL Cardinal's bullpen. I thought their rebuilding plan was only supposed to be five years long in 2001??? Not to mention this is also a truley awful trade for Chris Perez. This kid is supposed to be great and top out at 100.. now he's off to Cleveland where reliever's careers go to die.

As a sox fan, I'm relatively happy... get this guy out of the AL Central! He's a great player... in my opinion a little over rated but still a great player. Now he's going to be playing in the NL Central and I think that's going to push the Cubs prospect of finishing first in the division back even further. I feel for Cub fans because it sucks to see such a shitty trade made with a more than mediocre player... but to be honest, I dont get the way they hold this guy up on a pedastole. It seems as though he's revered as much as Sox fans love Rowand that doesn't seem possible to me. He's a fantastic player, and the fact that he can play so many posistion is an asset... but I dont think that D-ro being back with the cubs is going to get Bradley to figure out that there's 3 outs in an inning, or make Zambrano grow up, or get Gregg to close a decent game.

Doesn't look like he'll be getting any more standing ovations at Wrigley.
